** OKLAHOMA WINS THE 2022 2022 NCAA Gymnastics National Title **

 

The NCAA announced today the teams and individuals who have advanced to compete in the 2022 National Collegiate Women’s Gymnastics Championships.

The championships, hosted by Texas Woman’s University and Knight Eady, will be held
at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas, April 14-16.

The 2022 championship marks the fifth year this event will call Fort Worth home. Fort Worth and Dickies Arena are home to the NCAA Women’s National Collegiate Gymnastics Championship through 2026.

The women’s gymnastics championships consists of eight teams, as well as four all-around
competitors and 16 event specialists who were not members of a qualifying team. The top two
teams from each of the four regionals have advanced to the national championships. In addition,
the top all-around competitor and the top finisher on each event from each regional have also
advanced to the national championships.

Teams competing for the 2022 women’s gymnastics championships are The University of Oklahoma, University of Utah, University of Alabama, University of Minnesota, University of Florida, University of Michigan, University of Missouri and Auburn University.

Schedule:

April 13 – Practice (CLOSED to the public)

April 14 – Session 1 starts at 12:00 p.m. cst (doors open 11:00 am).  Teams:  The University of Minnesota, University of Oklahoma, University of Alabama and University of Utah.

April 14 – Session 2 starts at 5:00 p.m. cst (doors open at 4:00 pm).  Teams:  The University of Florida, University of Michigan, University of Missouri and Auburn University.

April 16 – Finals  starts at 12:00 p.m. cst (doors open 11:00 am, March In at 11:45 am).  Come see who will be crowned Champion!  It will be an incredible day of competition between the final four:  University of Oklahoma, University of Utah, The University of Florida and Auburn University.

The championship will take place in Dickies Arena April 14-16, 2022 and will feature the top eight NCAA Women’s Gymnastics teams and numerous individual competitors in the country as they compete for the title of National Champion.  This event brings the top eight teams in college gymnastics for two nights of premier competition.  The championship will call Fort Worth and Dickies Arena home through 2026.

Teams will punch their ticket to the championship after competing at regional meets, March 31- April 2, at one of four regional hosts; Auburn University, University of Kentucky, University of Washington and North Carolina State University. Texas Woman’s University is the host institution for the championship.
